Takethon.com

The founder of Takethon.com grew up in Belfast and a few years back some neighbors were talking over the fence about a new all boy band that was coming to perform in Belfast’s Odyssey Arena. “Now what was their name” one said to the other “Takethat” said the other “Or as we say in Belfast 'Takethon' ” said the first one. The joke and the name stuck.

According to www.urbandictionary.com “thon” has a few meaning, some we are not so sure about, but the one that concerns us is:

Thon:

Northern Irish (Ulster Scots) equivalent of 'that'.

“Thon girl has a face like a busted sofa.”

“Thon boy thonder, he's a pure eejit.”
